Sample Platter: New Dance Works in Progress

Sample Platter: New Dance Works in Progress In-Person

Join us for an evening of four new dance works in progress by Maine-based and guest artists. This hour-long performance will give a brief peek into the creative process of choreography, and will be followed by a short talk-back with the artists. Featuring new work by MDI-based choreographer Dani Robbins and dance students from College of the Atlantic.

Dani Robbins (they/she) is a Maine-based choreographer, performer, and educator. They use a multimedia practice to develop performance work. After completing their undergraduate studies in dance at Bennington College, Dani has shown original dance work throughout Europe and New England. They were a 2023 NAS New England Creative Community Fellow and currently teach as adjunct faculty at College of the Atlantic. In recent years, the central focus of Dani's movement research has been the theatrical practice of professional wrestling.
