Sports Gear Swap In-Person
Have any disused sports gear cluttering up your home? Give it a second life by donating or trading to somebody new. All items will be made available for FREE to all, whether you have made a contribution or not. This program is a collaboration of the Sustainability Committee of the Town of Mount Desert and the Northeast Harbor Library
The library will accept donations of sports gear in good condition during open hours from April 13th until noon on April 27th. Accepted items include bicycles, skis, climbing equipment, bats, balls, rackets, sticks, wearable gear and the like!
The Sustainability Committee of the Town of Mount Desert has the following mission: to keep informed on sustainability issues for the Town; to review and analyze data and information pertaining to the impact of Town activities on the tax rate and environment; to recommend to the Board of Selectmen policies, ordinances and action plans to implement practical, timely efforts to reduce costs, reduce energy use and reduce the impact of Town activities on our environment.
